2016 International Block Party

The First Annual International Block Party

This is an event, developed in partnership with Articulon, as a way to raise public awareness and familiarity with the International Festival of Raleigh which takes place annually in October. The 2016 event is held: October 12-14.

Objectives:

  1. Arranging a recognized local media personality to serve as emcee.
  2. Attaining day-of media coverage of the Block Party by at least 2 broadcast media outlets.

Results:

  1. Sean Maroney, evening news anchor for CBS North Carolina served as the event emcee for the full 8 hours of the Block Party
  2. Attained News coverage by 3 TV stations and 1 live-from-the-Block-Party radio interview.
