Triangle-Wide Parade to Feature More Than 250 New Homes
The Annual Parade of Homes, N.C.’s largest open house presented by the Home Builders Association of Raleigh–Wake County and the Home Builders Association of Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties, will run on Oct. 1-2, 7-9, and 14-16, 2016 from 12 p.m. -5 p.m. This annual tour is the best way to view the latest homes and the newest communities throughout the Triangle.
More than 250 homes will welcome visitors. Many homes are decorated and showcase great ideas and the hottest design trends. The tour is free, self-guided and open to the public.
“We are very excited to launch a new Parade of Homes website and mobile app that will be available to the public the last week of September,” said Gaye Orr, MIRM, president and partner at Coldwell Banker Advantage New Homes, LLC and the chair for the 2016 Parade of Homes Committee for Wake County. “The new site will allow users to identify their favorite homes and then easily map them.”
The tour books are available at individual parade homes beginning Oct. 1.
“We have homes in 18 communities within the Triangle offering varied floor plans,” said Orr. “For this year, there are almost twice as many homes over $1 million as last year.”
Parade homes will be judged prior to the first open house weekend and winners will be announced to the public at the end of the Parade. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places, gold, silver and bronze awards respectively. The best special features are also recognized.
“This year, the gold, silver and bronze winners will also be posted online after the awards dinner so people can to plan to tour these homes over the final weekend.” Orr added.
Homes featured in the Triangle Parade will range in price from $167,990-$2 million. Visit triangleparadeofhomes.com to find information on all the homes on tour, as well as links to the new mobile app, the new, smart index Parade of Homes book and helpful parade touring tips.
