The Hype Starts Early for the 19th Annual Lebanese Festival

Spectrum News 14’s Caroline Blair sits down with an organizer of the 19th annual Lebanese Festival in Downtown Raleigh, for a preview of the fun family event, and a look at how they hope spread cultural diversity and awareness.

Since the 1890s, Lebanese immigrants have moved to North Carolina where they have left a lasting impression.  And in their 19th annual Lebanese Festival, they’re spreading their culture through music, food, art and dance.

The event is Saturday, April 8th from 11am- 7pm at the City Plaza, located at 400 Fayetteville Road in Raleigh.  Expect home-cooked falafel, hummus, tabouli and baklava on hand, along with live music and dance performances.

Visit the Triangle Lebanese-American Center on Facebook for event more information.
