Geami Debuts New Packaging System at Health and Beauty Expo
RALEIGH, N.C. (June 21, 2011) — Geami, a producer of eco-friendly protective packaging materials (www.geami.com), will debut its new system for retailers during the New Product Showcase at the Health and Beauty Global Exposition & Conference. The event will be held June 28-30 in New York City. Geami’s GreenWrap product line and its newest selection of colors and branding options add luxury and sophistication inside the brown shipping box.
Industry professionals that use protective packaging in their shipments will have the opportunity to experience how the eco-friendly wrapping material can save time in the warehouse and reduce overall production costs. Demonstrations of the packaging system will be located in the Green Pavilion at booth #1822 across from the VIP lounge.
“Presentation is everything in the health and beauty industry,” says Marcelo Passos, Geami V.P. “Our clients understand their customers want a brand experience from the moment the box arrives to actually wearing the product. Our new additions to the packaging systems fit that niche.”
Based on customer input, Geami has engineered three systems – iWrap, eWrap and ProWrap – to meet the unique needs of light, moderate and high-volume shippers. Each offers on-demand dispensing of paper-based cushioning material while packers wrap. The interlocking nature of the web eliminates the need for tape adhesives and prevents content movement in the box. This saves time and reduces damage returns, whether the volume of orders is 10 or 10,000.
The newest product, eWrap is the result of health and beauty retailers and ecommerce shippers seeking a packing solution that fits a compact storage area. The automated countertop dispensing system produces 12.5-inch-wide packaging, and refills are ordered by the box.
Large-volume shippers will continue to use the original expander system that has been newly branded ProWrap. This counter-top machine dispenses 14-inch-wide packaging that is sold by the pallet. One pallet of ProWrap produces 33,600 feet of wrapping and has the protective capacity of a truckload of bubble-style packaging.
The iWrap system is designed specifically for small business and modest-volume shippers where portability is required. The easy-to-use dispenser rack and 13-inch-wide rolls can be stored in a cabinet or on a shelf.
